Description

Made to look like it was fashioned together in the woods with sticks and natural hickory, our Hickory Bookshelf in Natural Finish is deceptively strong and well-built. It’s Amish made, one-of-a-kind, hand crafted from solid wood and made to last. Add it to a child’s bedroom, buy two and even out both sides of a living room or place it on the blank wall of a kitchen to hold cookbooks. However you choose to use this versatile piece from our Hickory line here at Carriage House Furnishings, you’ll be glad you made the investment in an heirloom quality piece of furniture.

Whether you’re lining up cookbooks in your breakfast nook or straightening up the clutter that seems to collect at the cabin, this 13d x 36w x 48h Hickory Bookshelf with Natural Finish is perfect. An asset to any cabin bedroom or cabin-themed room, it is large enough to store lots of books, plants and trinkets, yet small enough to not take up a lot of floor space. Best of all, it matches the other furniture items in our Hickory collection here at Carriage House Furnishings. Come visit our showroom and see for yourself! Can’t make it to Lancaster, PA? The close-grained heartwood is reddish brown and the sapwood nearly white. Hickory wood was formerly used to make wheels and spokes for wagons, carriages, carts, and early automobiles. Hickory wood is currently used to make furniture, flooring, tool handles, dowels, ladders, and sporting goods.

Now, we really had a good time with this piece. We asked if they could make a corner shelf along the similar design cues. I gave them dimensions and they crafted a perfect fitting corner shelf unit that really accents our kitchen breakfast nook.
